• Introduction

By late evening of the 2016 Presidential election, the networks called the State of Oregon for Clinton.  Over the preceding days, we learned Secretary Clinton carried Oregon by winning only 8 of 36 counties.  So, how could Clinton win only 23% of Oregon’s counties and still carry the state?  Simply put..Vote Density!  Vote Density is defined as (Urban Power=Vote Density=State Control=One Party Rule).  The eight counties Clinton won were ALL located in the northwest region of the state, and home to Oregon’s five most densely populated cities.

Thanks to vote density, the Oregon Democrats currently control the State Legislature, the Governorship, both U.S. Senate seats, and four of five Congressional House seats.  So, who speaks for the 28 RED counties in Oregon?  Who articulates concerns inherent to rural-small town living?

Regrettably, the Oregon Democrats have chosen one party rule, leaving “compromise” a dusty relic.  The URBAN BLUE agenda does not embrace a rural lifestyle or traditional western values.  Quite the opposite!  Sadly, there is only one solution for the 28 RED counties if they want a voice and representation.  That one solution is to redraw state boundaries and form the NEW state of GREATER OREGON.

Article IV, Section 3 of the Constitution allows Congress to split, or add new states,
with the consent of the State’s Legislature and the United States Congress.

Are other states ripe for separation like Oregon….YES!  New Republic 2018 Maps researched 21st century Presidential voting patterns and determined that the states of Washington, California, Colorado, Illinois, and Virginia qualify, too.  In order to qualify for NEW STATE status, New Republic 2018 Maps identified three essential traits.  Those traits are a population of at least 570,000, a defined non-isolated land mass, and geography that supports infrastructure and a broad based economy.

In addition to the identified “NEW STATES”, there are six additional states who teeter on the fence.  Those states are Alaska, Nevada, New Mexico, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.  Minnesota for example is overwhelmingly RED, though Vote Density pulls the state BLUE.  Unlike Oregon though, the BLUE patches of Minnesota are isolated.  New Mexico on the other hand could easily split into two states due to regional differences, but the eastern half of the state is sparsely populated.  A sparse population also affects Nevada and Alaska.  For states like Pennsylvania and Maryland, it’s not limited RED land mass, but limited BLUE land mass…like Minnesota.

Alas, if an (URBAN-BLUE STATE) Democrat wins the White House in 2020, the window to form NEW STATES is diminished.  By all measure, The Republic is broken and in need of repair.  Our elected leaders are partisan, self indulgent, and live in a D.C. bubble.  Freedom loving Americans MUST speak out and demand representation and the preservation of freedoms afforded in the Bill of Rights.  If millions of Americans are no longer represented, but instead controlled, we must….SEPARATE, RESTORE, AND PRESERVE.
